Privacy Policy

DoM Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", "our") provides this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of information in the mobile application "Moji Asobi Lesson" (the "App").

The App is designed primarily for preschool children. We operate the App in compliance with the Google Play Families Policy, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR and GDPR‑K).

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any directly identifying personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, photos, contacts, microphone audio, or camera video.

The information handled by the App falls into two categories:

(1) Information stored only on the device

The following data is stored solely in Android's SharedPreferences on the user's device and is never transmitted to our servers. It is deleted when the App is uninstalled.

• Practice progress (which rows have been practiced, achievements, earned badges, consecutive practice day streak, total characters written)

(2) Anonymous technical information collected by third-party services

To improve App quality and detect issues early, the following third-party services automatically collect anonymous technical information. No personally identifying information is included. See "3. Third Parties and External Transmission" for details.

• Google AdMob: advertising identifiers, IP addresses, etc.
• Google Firebase Analytics: anonymous app usage statistics such as screen transitions and session counts
• Google Firebase Crashlytics: technical information collected only when the App crashes (stack trace, device model, OS version, etc.)

2. How We Use the Information

The locally stored progress data is used solely for the following purposes:

• Displaying completed practice status on the home screen
• Displaying consecutive practice day streaks and badges to motivate continued learning

3. Third Parties and External Transmission

We do not share any user information with third parties. However, the App uses the following third-party services, which may independently collect anonymous technical information:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, and app usage information to serve and optimize ads.

The App is explicitly configured as a child-directed app, and ads are served with the following restrictions:

• TagForChildDirectedTreatment is set to yes (signaling COPPA compliance)
• MaxAdContentRating is restricted to G (general audience)
• Only contextual (non-personalized) ads are served
• Access to advertising identifiers and cookies is restricted

Google Firebase Analytics (Usage Metrics)

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics such as screen transitions and session counts, solely for the purpose of improving the App. Firebase issues a random identifier called an "App Instance ID" at launch, which is used to aggregate continued usage trends on the same device. No information that personally identifies the user is collected.

As a child-directed app, the App explicitly disables all advertising-related data usage in Firebase Analytics:

• Storage of advertising data (adStorageConsent) is denied
• Sending of ad-related user data (adUserDataConsent) is denied
• Ad personalization signals (adPersonalizationSignalsConsent) are denied
• Google Signals (cross-browser cookie integration) is not used

Analytics data is automatically deleted after Google's default retention period (up to 14 months).

Google Firebase Crashlytics (Crash Reporting)

To identify and resolve defects, the following information is sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics only when the App terminates abnormally:

• Error stack trace
• Device model, OS version, App version, and timestamp of the crash
• A random "Installation ID" issued by Crashlytics

No information that personally identifies the user, and no practice content or input, is transmitted.

4. Child-Directed Treatment (COPPA / GDPR‑K)

The App is intended for use by children under 13 (or under 16 in some EU jurisdictions). We guarantee:

• We do not collect personal information from children
• There are no account registration, name input, email input, or other personally identifiable input features
• Only G-rated (general audience) ads are displayed
• Child-directed flags are enabled in the ad SDK, and behavioral targeting is disabled
• All advertising-related data collection in Firebase Analytics (ad personalization, ad storage, ad user data) is disabled
• There are no in-app purchases
• There are no social media sharing features
• There are no links to external browsers or apps outside of ad units

5. Device Permissions

The App only requests the minimum Android permissions required for ad delivery (e.g., INTERNET).

The App does not use:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)
• Camera (CAMERA)
• Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)
• Contacts (READ_CONTACTS)
• Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
• Phone state (READ_PHONE_STATE)

The text-to-speech feature uses the device's built-in TTS engine, and no audio data is transmitted externally.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

On-device progress data

Progress data is stored only locally on the user's device. To completely delete it:

• Uninstall the App
• On Android: Settings → Apps → Moji Asobi Lesson → Storage → Clear Data

Data held by third-party services (Firebase)

Anonymous data collected by Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics is automatically deleted after the retention period defined by Google (up to 14 months for Analytics, 90 days for Crashlytics). Because such data is tied to random identifiers (App Instance ID, Installation ID), there is no standard way to delete data for a specific individual user. If you have a request, please contact us at the email address in "10. Contact" and we will respond to the extent possible.

7. Security Measures

The App operates without our own server; progress data is stored solely on the device. Anonymous data collected by Firebase is managed according to Google's security standards (see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy for details). Maintaining the device's own security (screen lock, OS updates) helps protect your progress data.

8. Links to Third-Party Sites

The only way a user may be directed to another website is by tapping a displayed advertisement. We are not responsible for the information collection practices of any linked third-party websites.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy due to changes in law, feature additions, or operational changes. Significant changes will be announced in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
